09 October HK BYE BYE, BANGKOK HERE I COME!Met lot of old friends and new buddies (babies) for past few days. Life in hong kong even on vacation is busier than work. I like it. 14 September Talking about so many years ...
Quote so many years ... so many years ...i have not updated the blog for so many years... just browse through the old fotos and there were so many changes over the past years. Many old colleagues in Singapore have moved back to hong kong and taiwan; many friends in the CNY gathering in 2007 has become moms and dads... and gaining another 30 pounds since i lost 20 pounds when i moved to china in 2006. so what 's next i wonder at this very moment?

I like weekends after a busy work week! 22 July back from torontoFinally back from Toronto and have officially changed my marital status. And I am a happy man!!! 22 May Weekend FunK was here over the weekend. Basically it was a quiet weekend with some quality time together.
And we did not bother to call any friends...
Went to Soong ching ling residence上海宋庆龄故居纪念馆 but it is under renovation until Sept. Ran to to 上海圖書館 nearby to avoid the summer heat...
Fed the tummy with Shanghaiese, French, Fusion, Japanese All you can eat.. Yummy and it worths to gain a few pounds
Visited our favourite spots in Puxi for some late nite drinks and jazz/pop/rock vocal
Shanghai is such a good place to live. I like the variety of culture, food, and music it offers. And 48hours is barely enough for such splendid weekend

07 May MatchpointWatched this great movie from Woody Allen last nite. It has a strong tragic message. Individual performance from the main characters are not outstanding but W.Allen has put it all together.
The movie is about a person gets lucky and things go his way. But is it a good thing? Really depends on your belief in despair and faith you will find a different meaning from this movie.

Have been here for over 3 months now. It has been a lot changes... weather, home, work, friends and colleagues. It has been a while to acommodate all these changes. Some are fast and easy, some take times and efforts. It is not easy to keep everyone happy all the time. I try my best to do this, and I will keep trying with a promise.
Winter ended so fast and there seems no spring in between. 20 March What a day!!!! A 5-hour trip turned out to be 9 hoursWhat a day!!!! A 5-hour trip turned out to be a good long 9 hours. What a bloody day!

4:15 Suppose to arrive Shanghai in a few mins.... Only if flight took off on time.
5:00 Passengers start complaining and yelling...
5:30 Finally take off
7:30 Arrive Shanghai

8:00 Taxi battery dies in the middle of highway (lucky we are not on the fast lane)
8:15 Driver fixed the battery and we were cruising again ... for a few mins
8.20 - 9.00 The battery dies for another 3 times. The meter is still running
9.01 - 9.15 Hopped on another taxi. And I safely return home.

Depsite all that, I felt lucky coz afterall that i did not miss anything that is really important.
Besides, without these minor issues i wouldn't appreciate my night @home... even with lots of email, work and a challenging day in front of me.

12 February SundayHave been really lazy for the weekend. Stay home, watch a few movies and basically that's abt it.
But I finally change the water heater. I can now enjoy continuous hot water in showers.
 07 February Heng San Xiao GuanDinner with a buddy at Heng San Lu again tonite. This restaurant is a particular favourite coz food taste similar to hometown. They even have Ma You salty fish which is rare in HK restaurant menu. People are more health cautious these days. But it is hard to resist the temptation.
To me i love salty fish coz the taste brings me back to kid days. I used to have this for lunch every once in while when my grandma steamed some salty fish with fat pork belly meat. And I can eat 2 bowls of rice.

28 January Gong Xi Fa CaiMet with a business partner yesterday and share our views on different topics. Mostly work related. It is fun to talk/work with him because of his background and experience. He opened my views on the upcoming challenges and i am glad we have that long discussion.
It is CNY's Eve today. Like most of the chinese families tonite i am home celebrating it. To me it is utterly important coz i can get together with the rest of the family, play with my 2 little nephews, and drink as amny homemade soup as i want.
This is the nite belongs to family. 26 January Hong KongJust came back from Shanghai through SZ last nite. It was after midnite when I get home. Delay, traffic jam, long queues.
I have to wake up tis morning @6...but luckily i can sleep for a while in the car.

Can you tell the difference? PlayPLayed my first game in Shanghai at Yintao last Sunday. Course is less difficult compare to I.F at Bintan Lagoon. But there are 2 challenges personally.... 1. a sudden temperature drop [30-->5]; & 2. I was wearing too many layer (5) of clothes. It was again 110.... will be better next ime.
It was a fun game and as BRO DAVID said.... "No OB coz water always on the left for u big slice". 04 January heng sang luVisit this restaurant on heng seng lu tonite. They serves canton style which is so similar to my hometown. Went with a buddy and we talked for the whole evening.... from his basketball game in pudong to my water heater situation at home.
We knew each other for more than 20 years though he spent most of his time in canada. Now he is Shanghai like me. Though he worked in different industries we share a lot of common in shanghai.
I learn a lot through the conversation. And I am happy to have friends surrounding me. 03 January Happy New Year!Happy new year. 2006 will be a year that means a lot to me. I can anticipate so much fun and challenges ahead. What a new year gift?! I finally got connected by ADSL broadband. It is so much hassle to go through so many people to get the cable guy here. And it only took 5 mins to setup the whole thing. 24 December Just came back from BeijingIt has been a great week. First time I flew domestic flight in China and the experience is great.
It is Xmas and it is time to CELEBRATE!!!
